Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Anime Star Eyes at animeselfie.com and its related pages and services ("we", "us", the "Service"). You can contact us at contact@animeselfie.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your sign-in credentials private, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at contact@animeselfie.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

2. What the Service does

The Service edits an uploaded adult selfie into an anime-style photo — for example a star, heart or manga eye over one real eye with stickers of an original anime character inspired by you. Each photo is a 2K vertical image delivered to your account.

3. Acceptable use

You may only upload a photo of an adult who is you, or who has given you permission to edit and use their image. You must not upload or create:

• images of children, or anyone who appears to be under 18;
• images of public figures or of people who have not consented;
• sexual, nude, violent, hateful, harassing or otherwise harmful or illegal content;
• content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights, including requests to reproduce a known character or a studio's style as if it were official;
• content used to impersonate, deceive, defame or harass anyone.

You must not attempt to bypass safety checks, probe or overload the Service, scrape it, resell access, or use automated means to create accounts or requests.

4. Your content and results

You keep all rights you have in the photos you upload ("Uploads"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, moderate and transform your Uploads, and to send them to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy, solely to provide the Service to you.

Subject to these Terms and the rights of others, you may use the photos the Service creates for you ("Results") for personal and commercial purposes. We do not claim ownership of your Results and we do not publish them in a public gallery. You are responsible for how you share a Result; where appropriate, make clear that it was edited with AI.

5. AI results and safety checks

AI output varies. We do not guarantee an exact likeness, precise placement of the eye or stickers, or identical results across attempts. Example images on the site illustrate a style and are not a promise of your result.

Uploads and Results pass automated safety checks. These checks can block permitted content and can miss prohibited content. They do not verify age, identity or consent, and they do not replace your responsibilities under Section 3.

6. Credits

Creating one photo uses 3 credits. Credits are a prepaid right to use the Service; they have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are not a deposit or stored value. If a photo cannot be created, or its Result is blocked by safety checks, the credits for that photo are returned to your balance automatically. Returned credits are not a refund of money. A new request is a new photo and uses new credits.

Credits are used in order of earliest expiry. Expired credits cannot be restored.

7. Subscriptions

Plans and billing. Subscriptions are offered monthly or yearly at the prices shown on the pricing page at checkout, plus any applicable taxes. Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and the payment method on file is charged the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel.

Credits per period. Each successfully paid period grants that plan's credits. Monthly plans grant one month of credits; yearly plans grant twelve months of credits at the start of the year. Credits granted for a period expire when that period ends and do not roll over.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan and that period's credits remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide partial refunds for the remainder of a period except as described in Section 9 or required by law.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor may retry it. No credits are granted for an unpaid period, and the subscription may be paused or cancelled if payment is not completed.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will tell you in advance by email or in the Service, and the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice. If you do not agree, cancel before that renewal.

8. Credit packs

Credit packs are one-time purchases that do not renew. Credits from a pack remain valid for 365 days from the date of payment. Packs are paid through Stripe. Where we also offer Waffo Pancake or Dodo Payments at checkout, that provider may act as the merchant of record and appear as the seller on your statement, and its terms also apply to the transaction.

A purchase is complete only when the payment provider confirms it to us. A confirmation message in your browser alone is not confirmation of payment.

9. Refunds and chargebacks

If you have not used any credits from a purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of the charge by contacting contact@animeselfie.com or using Support Tickets. For a subscription, this applies to the most recent charge. We also refund duplicate charges and billing errors. See our Refund Policy for the request process. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or withdrawal right you have under applicable consumer law.

When a payment is refunded, or reversed through a chargeback or dispute, the remaining credits from that payment are removed from your account. Raising a chargeback for a valid charge may lead to restriction of your account.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Photo creation may be paused for maintenance or when a required provider is unavailable; affected requests are retried or their credits returned. We may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice and refund unused prepaid credits on a pro rata basis.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse a request, if we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms, creates risk for others, or is required by law. Where an account is closed for a serious breach, unused credits may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law.

12. Disclaimers

Except as required by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you upload or share, or from your breach of these Terms or of anyone's rights, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version and its date are shown on this page. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are subject to applicable law. Any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply. A dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under the applicable rules; these Terms do not require you to waive a mandatory right to bring proceedings where you live.
